Play Is a Right, Not a Privilege
At DiverCITY Play, we believe every child deserves a safe and joyful space to explore, grow, and just be a kid.
We exist to make play accessible for children and families who have too often felt like they didn't fit in anywhere else. At DiverCITY Play, they do.
Started by Parents,
Designed by Experts
DiverCITY Play was founded by a team of parents who lived the daily experience of navigating a world not built for their children. After countless failed outings to traditional play spaces that were too loud, too bright, or too unpredictable. They decided to build the space they always wished existed.
Collaborating with licensed occupational therapists, child development specialists, and neurodiversity advocates, they designed every corner of DiverCITY Play from the ground up. Not as an afterthought. That is the foundation everything else is built on.
Today, DiverCITY Play serves hundreds of families every month in Miami, FL. Every visit reminds us why we built this place.
Our Core Values
These values guide every decision, from how we design our space to how we greet every family at the door.
Radical Inclusion
Every child belongs here, neurotypical or neurodivergent, with a diagnosis or without. We don't have a "special needs corner." We have one incredible space for every child.
Evidence-Based Design
Every zone was co-designed with occupational therapists and child development researchers. Nothing here is decorative without also being purposeful.
Family-First
We see the whole family, not just the child. We design for caregivers to feel comfortable, at ease, and genuinely welcome on every visit.
Unwavering Safety
From the materials we choose to the training our staff receives, safety is never negotiated. Every child deserves a space where they are protected.
Play-Based Learning
Play is how children learn, process, connect, and heal. We honor that by making every activity intentional, engaging, and developmentally meaningful.
Community Partners
We actively partner with therapy practices, schools, nonprofits, and local organizations to serve our Miami community as broadly and deeply as possible.
